          1. Normally, I would agree. I soon learned that the ‘family’ would not accept me regardless and eventually found those who would. It wasn’t about wanting to change but it was about acceptance and it had to be for who I was or it wasn’t real. C’est la vie! 🙂

                  1. Thank you but it doesn’t feel there was any courage involved. It was just the way I was wired. I wrote an article a few weeks ago, shortly after the attack at Orlando and it was for some people who I feel have much courage, my daughter included, and who are my family. It wasn’t until I left the country of my birth that I really felt safe and accepted.

                    1. You did what you did to make a good life out of yourself. You are naturally strong.
                      I think it takes courage to leave your homeland, however miserable you feel and I admire that.
                      I am glad you feel accepted. It’s a rarity.
