Love Conquers All

A train, two strangers
A blank seat, one obliges
Chats, laughs and fun
A friendship blossoms.

Night-outs, movies slip into dates
Blank hearts fill with romance
Reluctant religion, too much fission
Families fight, such a medieval version.

Hearts infallible, faith inflexible
Faraway they elope, blanks at home
New life, new place, same new love
Hand in hand, struggle for a sky above.

Isolation, calls, old thoughts melt
Time heals, homes a blank no more
Covers of crescendo, a life is born
A stranger, so familiar – fills the blank.

  1. An absolutely beautiful poem …yep …love is love ….unfortunately ‘religion’ tends to loose that somewhat amongst the ‘doctrine’ …or at least it’s ‘implementation’ usually:)
