Imbecile

“What does that mean?”
He curiously enquired.
“But it’s such a common word!”
He didn’t feel inspired.

“Still, I don’t know yet”
He was quite persistent.
“Smart and Intelligent”
He felt somewhat ignorant.

He jotted it in his mind-book
For he didn’t have a dictionary to look.
Seduced by a forbidden secret world,
He was drawn to the mystery of words.
